It goes without saying that all of us in the Von Donut Gang love our donuts. When artfully crafted with love and care, donuts make the perfect treat. While Von Donut members are focused on making all kinds of art, we are definitely inspired by the emptiness, deliciousness, and perfection of the donut.
With that in mind, we are currently looking to partner with a few local donut shops to join us in our effort to build a thriving and vibrant creative community of donut-heads here in Denver. If you are the owner or operator of local donut shop in Denver and you think you can bring your creative spirit to the party, we would really like to meet you and talk about some of our ideas for cooperative promotions.
Our first goal is to find a local donut shop interested in featuring their brand and the delicious donuts at our upcoming Art Market event from 12-9pm November 1st, 2024 at Mutiny Comics and Coffee in Englewood. The date of the event is rapidly approaching! This is what we are looking for from of a Donut Shop event partner:
- On Saturday November 1st, provide a donated/discounted selection of your shop’s donut varieties.
- Display our promotional posters and flyers in your shop leading up to the event.
- Help us to promote the event through your own established social network for a week or two before the show.
- Help us to create a donut decoration station at the event (if possible)
- Since this is an art show, and the attendees will be artists and creatives and their ilk, we thought it would be pretty cool to be able to let people take some naked donuts and then decorate them with frosting and toppings and goodies and make them art before being devoured. We might not be able to swing this, be we thought it would be a pretty cool idea.
…and this is what Von Donut will do for you.
- We will include your name and branding on printed and online promotional materials.
- On our social media promotions for the event
- On our website with the information for the event
- On posters and flyers we distribute
- On the day of the event, we will glaze your shop with superfluity.
- We will display any branding and promotional materials you provide
- We will create signs with your information next to the donuts
- We will welcome you to participate in any way you like to spread your gospel
- Moving forward, we will forever be your ride or die. Our art gang will be at your disposal. We will always be look for new opportunities at cooperative promotion online, in stores and at future Von Donut events.
Down the road as the gang grows we have some interesting ideas for cooperative marketing campaigns combining our artists work with our partner shops businesses to generate additional attention and interest their neither could achieve on it’s own.
At Von Donut, one of our most important founding principles is growing community. When we started this group a few years ago, we saw the donut as a powerful symbol of real life connections. We were artists looking to establish meaningful IRL connections and camaraderie outside of the crowded bar and insular megachurch scenes.
The donut is a powerful talisman of community. It is the bread we break when artists and fallen angels gather together to look each other in the eye and eat something both heavenly and defiant. We have been assembling an art gang with Donuts as our holey grail and we want you to join us.
We think that Von Donut potentially represents a fantastic symbiotic relationship with the right donut business, and we’re anxious to share our and grow our holey Colorado community. We’ll be out on the streets and on the Internet looking for you!
